Book report

Just finished reading "100 Years Of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It is one of those books I have heard of and knew was famous but had never investigated in any way until seeing it on a friend's bookshelf. Have to say really loved it. It is one of the first books in a long time, if ever, that I finished and just couldn't comprehend how someone could produce something like that - how their mind could come up with all the events and images in it. It is so rich in ideas and language yet still very readable and totally engrossing. I think it has levels to it that passed me by on this reading but still was massively struck by it. I would really recommend it if you haven't read it and would love to know what you thought if you have.
